,,,Now, you can be seated downstairs!



Im talking again about the well known outing place in Amman... the one that has all this strange reservation policies....

And as we decided to go there yesterday... I was shocked as one of the guys who are responsible for all the reservation issues was explaining to us- me and my friend- how things work,,,

He said '' on the phone when you call to do the reservation, we wouldn't know you personally, and this makes it hard since it means we don't know your age... etc! And for this reason we tell you we can make an 'unlocated' reservation only...
But now since you are here and we can see that 'mashalla' ... your looks, outfits,,, you deserve to be seated downstairs... !!!!''

What a sick disgusting strategy...!!!!

    in amman the falafel's res became reservation ..yesterday i went to irish he the man on the door said sorry reser or coupls i told him ok give the phone to reser so he told me am sorry reser with coupls lool i told him hey i was her yestrday and the day before and the day before etc look wut he replied am sorry i was off yesterday wut i gona say he is stubid

    rebecca.. i wish it crossed my mind,,, but i was too shocked at that time that i just couldn't say a word!

    Qwaider... complement willa mush complement, it just makes me not want to go there again,,, although it's the kind of place we decide to go to once in 6 months.. haik shy!

    anonymous... yeah i guess we'll reach the point where a falafel place will need a reservation :S

    well hey single MEN where we should be after all this ..... !!
    i like to sot alone and done some type work and alot of times it's hard to find palce that i can get in after 8.00pm alone .. and the rest of palces is crowded and nois..

    qabbani: i doubt u can find a quiet place to hang after 8pm anywhere in the world! u either go to a library or stay at home! :p

    Since I'm not in Amman..which well known place with a strange reservation policy are we talking about?
    Since I'm not in amman..does not being in amman qualify for getting a reservation? that's strange!
    but then again, what are the strange reservation policies? u need to know certain languages? do u need to have a minimum GPA..see here's the problem..in Jordan..some people have the illusion that when there's segrigation..couples only..girls only..absar shoo only..this makes them classy..I just got back from New York..had a blast..reservations were made on the phone..regardless of looks..gender or political afinity..and people are respected..as long as they're respectful..in Jordan..and to be more geo-socially accurate..west amman..some people get their respect by choosing the people who are ready to pay them to sit on their chairs..drink their half ass coffee..and smell their smoke contaminated air..
    Ignorence is dangerous..the illusion of knowledge is even worse!

    I hate those snobs at restaurants, I was making a reservation on the phone for ten people for an early dinner and the guy on the phone, asked me are you relatives ? or colleagues? what is it to you !! after I informed him that we are friends he asks me is every one going to eat ? if someone does not eat they have to pay the minimum charge !! reservations in Jordan suck !!

    Averroes.. In order to get a reservation or to enter a place you need to be asked so many questions and need to be examined etc.. it's so annoying and it's not even worth it!

    tamara... hahaha this is hilarious! Are you relatives or colleagues!!!! what difference would that make.. they're just stupid and come up with all the stupid reasons to give you every single reason not to call them again!!! And what's with the 'are you all going to eat' question?? ... this is another 'nahfeh' from our respectable outing places!

    Averroes... picnics are amazing.. and it's something different at least! BBQs are the best... you get to eat really good food, enjoy the weather, view, all the preparations and you won't have people getting on your nerves with the stupid reservation policies!
