Why is it getting harder?!

We were all waiting for the shops and big malls to open in Amman! And now when it's finally happening.. shopping seems to be harder than ever.

I have no clue why! But maybe because with all the variety we have nowadays, it makes me more confused.
So -I go to one shop and get something, then later on I go to another, only to regret what I bought earlier.. and think I should've waited!

Two years ago, I had only two main shops where I'd go and get everything from! But now, there are just too many. And what I've noticed lately is that each one has it all... they try to put all what you need in the same shop so that you won't go and look at another. Clothes, shoes, socks, stockings, swimsuits, towels, flip flops (all beach related stuff).. pajamas... and all kinds of accessories! it's just too much.

I don't think there are many who agree with me,,, but this is the way I've been feeling lately!
I thought one will be saving time shopping in big malls, but it just seems that im spending more time only from walking .. and time just flies each time im there! One good thing though, is that lately almost all clothes' shops have a both male /female sections.. which makes it much easier for couples!

I guess no more shopping for me, Im getting bored with spending my time in the shops, and with most of them lacking air conditions- in the new malls.. ! At the end of the day I come back with a headache and would go straight to bed.
It's summer time now, Click to get cool Animations for your MySpace profile
and my attention would turn to something more fun, more relaxing, and definitely more enjoyable!!! ,,, ummm *hint, hint*

LOL People keep telling me how much Amman has changed. I still remember how that mall-less city looked like. All those people who queued up for the Mcdonalds opening (me included), all those things that others took for granted meant so much when you don't have them. Now I guess things are different, I should expect as much after 10 years :) And yeah I find myself confused about where and what to buy in Dubai as well! So many choices, it can take hours or even days to make your mind up.

That's why I can't go shopping here! Once I step into the mall's big shops, I get so confused, Not knowing where to start from!! I'm glad Im not addicted to shopping, I just go there to get a particular thing and then leave as soo as I can! I also don't enjoy shopping in closed area, that's why I used to like walking from one place to another in Sweifieh, morning time, when there's no bad traffic:)

Side.. mall-less!! HAHA.. well this one is EMPTY now! I can't remember the last time I was there.. a year or two ago! :D

I rememebr the few times I was in Dubai, shopping seemed impossible for me! It gets harder when there are more options I guess.. weird but true!
Though in Gemany -Frankfurt- they have this lovely one wide/long street, where you have shops on both sides .. along with shopping, you get also to enjoy the sun, the Chinese, and Turkish food .. such a lovely thing, something I'll never forget.

nido.. You're right! Im getting really annoyed with the malls.. and there's this continuous aweful noise in them that causes a real headache :S Sweifieh is better, but still I really HATE to drive there... and what I hate more is finding a place to park! :D

Hmmm I used to live in Sweifiyah. I wonder how different it is now! For me in Dubai I just end up leaving something to the last minute and force myself to choose (and it's usually the cheapest. closest thing since it can take hours to go from place to place!). Back in NZ, we have streets like that one in Germany, Queen St. in Auckland is better than any mall over there IMO.

LOOOOOOOOL and I thought I’m the only one who feels that way!! :D LOOOOOOOOOL.. great now I feel better, I know that I’m normal :D .. you know that more shops I go to, the more confused I get :SSS .. I try to keep myself from entering so many stores, but I can’t control myself from looking inside sometimes.. well atleast you are regretting buying some stuff, in my case I don’t get anything, too many options, I end up leaving empty handed sometimes, hard to believe.. but walahi sarat …

Side.. I don't see Swaifieh different! it's the same.. same -full of shops - streets!
Shopping for fun is no longer fun I guess.. now, you should shop only when you have a certain thing on mind - and as you said from the closest you can get to ;)

Maioush.. it happens with me too! too many options and going back with empty hands.. and what usually happens is that when I have the money to get things - I find NOTHING, when I don't have money to get anything -I find so many nice things :D !! hahaha

well...ana i don't feel the same!...i like going to the malls and having many options....maybe because i'm the type who makes up my mind really fast and i don't usaully get confused over such things :D...i'm kind of easy going when it comes to shopping...enu i like something..i try it..if it looks nice and the price is reasonable and it's worth it then i buy it right away without even thinking "hmmm let me check other shops and see if they got something better"....enu there is always the return and exchange option so no need to regret :D

plus there are some shops that are already cancelled from my shopping list..either because i don't like the quality of their stuff...or because they are too damn expensive bi taree2a mubala'3 feeha and they don't even worth it..fa i don't waste my time and i skip them when i'm roaming the shops :)

i'm really fast when it comes to shopping, ya3ni bi nazra saree3a i know if the shop is worth spending sometime or if i should not waste my time and go to another one...i don't like ba7besh and check every single piece on the stands! and i don't spend long hours cause i know what i like and what will look good on me before even trying it! that's why i prefer to go shopping all by myself..cuz btetla3 roo7i iza fee 7ada ma3i bido yshoof every single piece and shop...i can't stand el naya6a wil taradood...i go alone and come back in 2 hours after getting really nice and useful stuff :)

    7aseit 7ali odd..:p lol

PŕōuđPāŀĩ.. 20 minutes :D I wish I can do that.. it takes me ages to make up my mind! :S haha

Oriental Arabesque.. I like to shop alone because I like to take my time :D LOL I hate to have someone with me, cause at then end they'd go crazy! Im from those who believe that you need to try out things.. it happens many time, I see something- which I think is ugly just by looking at it but when I try it on.. it looks WOW! And this happened with my wedding dress too! When I first saw it I said what on earth is this.. then I wanted to try it on but still thinking NONO, and it turned out to be the most beautiful thing I've ever seen .. :) so you can never know without trying things on,,, this part is what takes most of the time :S and of course i end up burning some calories, and I just get back what was burnt with an ice cream ;)
