The BALLY Blonde






I have always wanted to get a 'BALLY' thing at some point or another.. but Im afraid their new Villemot Collection is so out of this world.

For me Bally represented class and elegance.. I assume they wanted to extend their target market, by appealing to more segments. Though I believe in order to do so you need to stick to your image and values instead of creating a totally different image.

ha..? What are you trying to say?!

Some ads are seriously getting on my nerves. And the reason why Im saying this is because they're so desperate that they would say anything- and I mean anything- to get you into the buying mode. But the thing is no one would want to come close to products with those ads' quotes.

' if you don't eat chicken there's something wrong with you.. ' - chicken ad
What's with the 'there's something wrong with you' part. What would you say to all the Vegetarian people out there? Do you seriously think by saying this people would jump and go buy chickens! I'd say the opposite.

' Think smart.. get Fox***' - Fo*tel
So are you implying that 'otherwise.. you are an IDIOT?'
I would consider this an offensive kinda ad. I don't -and repeat, DON'T- want to ever get your Fo*tel.


And recently I came across this,


I like the concept of the Miche Bag, and appreciate the fact that it is there to make the life of women easier with all the different colorful changeable covers to minimize the frustration we all get with the accompanying need of buying different bags for all the different outfits. Alternatively, you can buy the one Miche Bag, and just change the covers.

But what I don't understand is this ↑ on their website. What's with the 'Good, Better, Best' presentation.. I mean Hello, those who will buy the Miche Bag are women and not school girls. So what's the difference between the best and good?
Is it with the quality of the bag?... clearly Not!!
Is it with the quality of the covers? ... No!!
It's only with the quantity and the fact that you will be paying more! So is this their pure understanding of what the 'best' represents!!! Based on what?!

YES! FINALLY

A course that I've been waiting for so long to take...

I don't care that it's an intensive course, I don't care that it starts at 9 am and ends at 5 pm which is a real pain.. and it's Ramadan

I don't care that it will ruin my coming three weekends.. (intensive = Saturdays and Sundays)

And on top of all that, it needs two projects.. an individual of 4000 words, and a group project of 6000 words. All in such a short period of time!

Intensive has one meaning in this university.. and that is INTENSIVE!

And the course is : give it a guess... the photos would help!

So the marketing campaign for the new album 'atmosphere' is based on this website, where you can tag any site and then enjoy the 'graffiti'.. this would happen while listening to the album of course. It is just amazing .. all the new advertising ways! Makes the traditional ways look dull and unattractive.

I talk.. MARKETING

This is getting really scary.. Im seeing everything with a marketer's eye. I thought I won't turn to one of those people, but I guess it's happening.

What was interesting recently is a new approach to market different products on facebook by using the untraditional way. And for me untraditional = different = unique = creative.

So now instead of paying $1 for each gift you send on facebook, - and let me tell you those ones are PRECIOUS. Because they cost money, and they're rare. They're not free, so you don't get to feel cheap- different products are being advertised by giving you the chance to send them as free gifts. I like the idea.. though I don't like what they offer, because most of the times the shapes are dull and you have to make a story when you send it to go with what you're saying and not to sound dumb..

You get to read the, 'im sending it because it's free' kinda thing a lot lately.

But i like the idea itself. I think it's very creative and smart. You'd get to see the product on so many facebook profile pages that will be seen by many people.. and I don't think it costs them that much.

Marketing and/or HR

Ever since I started my first semester and I was facing this real dilemma. Im still not sure about what should I go for! Im doing my Masters of Business but I haven't still made up my mind whether I should go for a single (Marketing or HR) major, or have a combination of both but ending up with no major.

I have taken a course in Marketing, and not only completed it with a distinction but I really enjoyed it too! The only thing that scares me with the single major kinda thing is that I don't want to be stuck and have to work in one field. I keep getting those 'what if' scenarios that drive me crazy and add to my confusion! What if i don't like working in Marketing.. or what if I find HR boring!!

so can anyone especially those who -WORK (and not study, cause there's a huge difference between the two) in Marketing or HR-, HELP, please!!
