The Best Job in the WORLD

This is super cool and doesn't happen everywhere or everyday. It is the 'Queensland's (North Australia) Best Job in the World' competition which took three months and 34,684 applicants to get to the 16 finalists.

'The successful applicant will get $150,000 and six months to explore the reef and blog about the experience, acting as an international ambassador for Queensland tourism in the process.'!

This is tourism in the 21st century.. very creative! To live in an island for six months and then blog about it.. that's a wow! I remember spending one day in a magical island.. and I can't seem to get it out of my mind till today. I can blog about that day for years to come!

Applicants had to send a video to reflect their outstanding personalities. The chosen finalists wowed everyone and were super impressive.

'Brisbane girl Hailey Turner's 12-day, round-the-world trip to promote Queensland also grabbed attention.

New Zealand TV presenter Clarke Gayford, 32, impressed with his witty blog - as well as swimming with sharks during a media interview.

And physical education teacher Greg Reynen donned flippers and goggles and paraded around central Singapore to show selectors how keen he was for the job.'

A course that I've been waiting for so long to take...

I don't care that it's an intensive course, I don't care that it starts at 9 am and ends at 5 pm which is a real pain.. and it's Ramadan

I don't care that it will ruin my coming three weekends.. (intensive = Saturdays and Sundays)

And on top of all that, it needs two projects.. an individual of 4000 words, and a group project of 6000 words. All in such a short period of time!

Intensive has one meaning in this university.. and that is INTENSIVE!

And the course is : give it a guess... the photos would help!

This is COOL, creative, different and fun.

So the marketing campaign for the new album 'atmosphere' is based on this website, where you can tag any site and then enjoy the 'graffiti'.. this would happen while listening to the album of course. It is just amazing .. all the new advertising ways! Makes the traditional ways look dull and unattractive.

This is getting really scary.. Im seeing everything with a marketer's eye. I thought I won't turn to one of those people, but I guess it's happening.

What was interesting recently is a new approach to market different products on facebook by using the untraditional way. And for me untraditional = different = unique = creative.

So now instead of paying $1 for each gift you send on facebook, - and let me tell you those ones are PRECIOUS. Because they cost money, and they're rare. They're not free, so you don't get to feel cheap- different products are being advertised by giving you the chance to send them as free gifts. I like the idea.. though I don't like what they offer, because most of the times the shapes are dull and you have to make a story when you send it to go with what you're saying and not to sound dumb..

You get to read the, 'im sending it because it's free' kinda thing a lot lately.

But i like the idea itself. I think it's very creative and smart. You'd get to see the product on so many facebook profile pages that will be seen by many people.. and I don't think it costs them that much.

Has anyone been there?!

This will be on the very TOP of the list for things to do and places to visit in the States. It's always been this way.. I just love candies, and when I start I can never stop... And this is probably why I spent last summer at the dentist!

But I just lose it all, forget about the dentist, and go weak when seeing this! It makes me drool.

It is not just any other candy store.. it is about colors, art, cool designs, variety, and all the shapes and tastes that would cross your mind..

So has anyone been there? It is open in three different locations... someone must've been there.. No?!

Earth Hour

On the 29th of March, many buildings will be switching off their light in support of the Earth Hour. It is a symbolic act that started in 2007 as an initiative to raise awareness about the need for action on climate change. It has been embraced by communities around the world making the 'Earth Hour 2008' a global event. It's pretty cool.. isn't it?!

my morning delight

... It is the feeling of cool wet grass while walking to work every morning. It is a truly refreshing thing and the best feeling in the world.. and this is a confession made by a non-morning person!

Which also reminds me of the -not so cute- anti-thong (flip flop) sign that was hanging on the door the other day.. it was a real nightmare! How can they have it when no one wears anything else.. It's crazy! i thought it was some kind of silly joke or something.. but it turned out that they're banned ONLY in laboratories.. It made more sense since no one would really give it any importance otherwise!!

This is what I like about marketing.. it is about creativity, talent and uniqueness. The art of creating an artistic idea, that is different and new from what's ordinary.

The AdvertisingAge has ranked it as 'Creativity Weekly Top5: March 10', and I think it deserves it.

IKEA.. without a SHOPPING LIST!

... It is one of the craziest things to do...!!! For the simple reason that you'll end up buying more than you want or need. Not only that but because of all the funky stuff, and the cool designs and colors.. you would get what you already have just for the hell of it..

They are definitely using its huge size to their best advantage by putting the arrows on the floor to give you direction 'in order for you not to get lost'. But those arrows are not only there for this one purpose... THIS IS the best way to guarantee that everyone would check out every single department and see all the offers and discounts on the way.. and start to fill his Ikea yellow bag as soon as he sets his foot inside!

It is affordable furniture that is both functional and well designed.. you can mix, match, and combine in all the different ways by finding all the sizes, themes, colors and designs. So basically you can find all what you want.. imagine.. or think of .. and more!

The great thing about what they sell is that it's capable of proving that you can be excused for having a boring taste but not dull furniture. They offer creativity even in what's simple and plain!

Whether it is a photo frame, or a wall frame.. a bathroom mat or a brush.. a candle holder or a garlic crusher.. I just love it all!!!
