Slash people.. who are they!!! Is it the new trend or the way to describe future careers!?

Actually I don't mind the idea, who knows maybe I will be one of them.. since multi tasking is something I cant function without!

TAKEN, bad and YUCKY

Im so not into rating movies etc, although Im so into watching them.. to the degree that I've found a hard time looking at a movie that I haven't watched on the 15 hours flight!!

I have watched TAKEN last Tuesday, and it was one of the movies I REALLY enjoyed. It made me feel bad for watching 'Wanted' in the cinema. I thought this one is just awesome and there is no comparison between the two. However, for those who have watched it.. did you notice anything shocking somewhere in the middle?

And for those who didn't.. Im not sure whether to say you should!

Although it was one of the best movies I've seen this year, I felt shocked from one of the scenes! They had this 'Qatari' car's plate and they intended to show it more than 10 times. The word 'Qatar' was actually written in Arabic, and the numbers too.. They also used the arabic language in some parts but it was obvious that this has been previously taped. By using the word 'shocked' and disgusted Im sure you'd know by now that the whole thing was representing something BAD and yucky. There's no doubt about that..

It is sad to see such a thing, I lost focus when I saw it.. I didn't even care about what was happening at the end. One thing was on my mind.. How dare they, what a shame!

photo albums

I went to print some digital photos in one of the kiosks today, it was very convenient.. cheap and easy to use. And because I hate to wait I used the 'print now' ones.. the quality was ok and not bad at all!

But I just can't stop wondering - in such a virtual world, where digital cameras are replacing the old ones - and people seem to count on having photos just stored on their PCs and sometimes backed up.. how would the babies of today feel years from now about their 'Baby photo albums'.. would they be satisfied with virtual photo albums?

I think it's pretty sad.. I wouldn't want this to happen to my kids, it's like not having something touched... something REAL.

Im seeing it happening everywhere.. parents are just getting lazy and they're counting more and more on those digital photos! There are more photos taken when it's digital - I agree, it costs nothing really to take photos, and I agree on the fact that this way people can actually chose which ones to print, but I wouldn't say that this can in any way replace the real photo albums..

And it's just the same for digital frames.. they will in no way replace the normal frames!

Maybe I should just quit!

Ok I must admit, maybe I should not be dealing with washing machines anymore! So after the nail polish small accident , I had plenty of interesting ones... It's only getting worse! Though I won't mention the tissues and how bad they stick to clothes.. Im sure it happens to everyone .. or I hope so!

1- one time and because of being in a hurry I ended up putting OMO in the wrong container, and after not only drying the clothes, but ironing them as well.. I realized when I wanted to use the washing machine again a few days later that the OMO was still there.. so I had to repeat the whole process again. I swear i was close to tears. This is how frustrating and time consuming it is.

2- With a new washing machine, we forgot -and don't ask me why-to remove the shipping bolts, so it used to make not only the floor but the whole place shaking when spinning. Till we realized what's the problem and dealt with it. I still laugh when I remember that adventurous phase of not knowing why is it shaking so badly, and how funny it was trying to keep it still!

3- The other morning, while I was half awake, I decided it's time to do some laundry. While drinking my coffee and trying to start with some studying, I kept hearing those noises (which Im becoming more familiar with).

And I thought it's nothing really. But it turned out to be SOMETHING BIG. My hubby had his mobile's earpiece inside one of his jackets and he didn't know I will be super energetic and decide all of a sudden that it's time to wash everything.. the good thing though, which leads to the fact that Nokia might not be bad after all -although I prefer Sony Ericsson, the earpiece still works! YES! After all the washing and spinning.. which is absolutely GREAT.

4- As Im writing this, there is those noises, AGAIN! .. Im sick of hearing them.. Im wondering what is it though this time?! nail polish?! makeup? or I will keep the guessing till it stops. It's freaking me out! Damn it!

Has anyone been there?!

This will be on the very TOP of the list for things to do and places to visit in the States. It's always been this way.. I just love candies, and when I start I can never stop... And this is probably why I spent last summer at the dentist!

But I just lose it all, forget about the dentist, and go weak when seeing this! It makes me drool.

It is not just any other candy store.. it is about colors, art, cool designs, variety, and all the shapes and tastes that would cross your mind..

So has anyone been there? It is open in three different locations... someone must've been there.. No?!

What do you call this?!!!

It is not a coincidence.. this is just NOT normal!!

I was separating the clothes and preparing to put them in the washing machine.. so I was carrying this bundle of dirty clothes and I had no idea that this will turn out to be one of the incidents that would freak me out!!!

I heard some unusual noises, but thought it's not serious.. when the machine stopped, and as soon as I opened it there was this strong weird smell.. so I ran to the cupboard to check how many nail polish bottles are standing there.. and yes, there was one missing..

But how can a nail polish bottle drop and hide between the clothes.. i mean seriously!! What is the possibility this to happen.. ?!! -100000? The good thing it was a nice orange summerish one.. so no real harm was done!

IKEA.. without a SHOPPING LIST!

... It is one of the craziest things to do...!!! For the simple reason that you'll end up buying more than you want or need. Not only that but because of all the funky stuff, and the cool designs and colors.. you would get what you already have just for the hell of it..

They are definitely using its huge size to their best advantage by putting the arrows on the floor to give you direction 'in order for you not to get lost'. But those arrows are not only there for this one purpose... THIS IS the best way to guarantee that everyone would check out every single department and see all the offers and discounts on the way.. and start to fill his Ikea yellow bag as soon as he sets his foot inside!

It is affordable furniture that is both functional and well designed.. you can mix, match, and combine in all the different ways by finding all the sizes, themes, colors and designs. So basically you can find all what you want.. imagine.. or think of .. and more!

The great thing about what they sell is that it's capable of proving that you can be excused for having a boring taste but not dull furniture. They offer creativity even in what's simple and plain!

Whether it is a photo frame, or a wall frame.. a bathroom mat or a brush.. a candle holder or a garlic crusher.. I just love it all!!!

suicidal

Is it the cockroaches' season or what?

Living in the third floor has an advantage because this should never be happening, really! Last week we had this flying cockroach coming through the open window.

And what a suicidal courageous one, it landed right on our wires' zone, and kept hiding there.. That was not funny at all!

MUTE

It really drives me crazy when the TV volume goes up on ads!!! I really hate it.. it annoys me to the max especially when my hands are dirty or the remote control disappears for a reason or another. Marketing people, do you really think this is smart.. Im sure just like me, most of the people press the mute button with the first ad.. would you prefer to have your ads half heard because someone is busy doing other stuff in the next room or not heard at all!!!! THINK people.. THINK!

I don't get it.

I don't get it.. how come with all the applications and new updates and with everything the technology guys are coming up with or adding to the options we already have.. no one has ever thought about a simple thing that would make life much easier!!!

just like all the options we get to have when right clicking..

How come there is NO.. right click/ RESIZE image!

Seriously!!! Do I really have to import everything to iPhoto and then export it again with the new size!!!? What a waste of time, space, and everything... and what an ugly way of duplicating images!

Spice it Up

Im not sure if this is the best advice or whether it will work for everyone, cause Im really new in this.. I started cooking recently, just a month ago.. and so far Im really enjoying it. Before we do our grocery shopping, I prepare this list of all the dishes I'll be cooking for the week, and then according to that we'll buy what we need.

But I believe that what really matters and give the delicious taste is not the way you cook.. it's not what vegetables you use, ingredients.. or how much you leave it on fire.. etc. It's what kind of spices you use. It's very important to use the right spices for the right dish and with the right quantity. So much spices can ruin the whole thing.. some spices can be so strong and make you lose the taste of everything else.

All the recipes I got from my mom and mother in law had the arabic spices in them. It is an essential part of the arabic cooking I guess. And since Im not the so 'meat/ chicken' person.. I had to buy all the different spices to mix with them.

My favorite ones are the lemon pepper, which is used with the chicken and I just love how magical this thing is. And the other one is the HOT Cajun Seasoning.. this is unbelievable! I use it with anything and everything.. I put it on the chicken, eggs, meat, rice with curry, Quesadillas, and even with normal sandwiches.

So if you want the delicious taste, just Spice it Up!

my two- MUST CHECK- for everyday

Every single day I have this routine that I can't seem to change or replace!

Ok, I must admit this is turning to a real obsession! I don't get to do any plans before I check this widget, and I have no idea why I believe whatever it says. Even our long term weekend plans would also be planned according to this. But the thing is that it doesn't show the disco lights that happens almost every night!!

This is the first thing I check when I open my eyes, and might be the last thing I check too before I go to sleep. There is only one or two blogs that I read which are not listed in Q Planet. But all the rest are there. I mean seriously, now it's also linked to my morning coffee..

wrong combination

This is what happens when you have the wrong combination. PS3 and a beanie bag DO NOT work together. I repeat.. they DO NOT work together. We spent the night trying to clean up the mess, and those small white balls are just horrible. They stick everywhere and anywhere.. !!! You can't see them, and you can't get rid of them..

*sigh*

Not another 'SNOW' post

As Im sitting here, and it's so humid and HOT, I envy everyone back there who is enjoying the snow. Ok, I admit it, I have never really liked when it used to snow cause I felt that it's ruining my outings and plans. But now that Im not there, I feel Im missing out on something.

Though this is not another SNOW post. Thank God! I don't really feel like seeing any snow photos. I think I have seen so many for one day.

It's about chocolate. We had this chocolate night, and decided to go to the 'just chocolate' place where they have nothing but chocolate. And instead of going there for dessert which is what everyone really does, we decided we'll have chocolate for dinner.

At first it was pretty cool, since everything looked delicious and was delicious up till I felt I can't see any chocolate for the next couple of weeks! So everything is not only filled with chocolate, but comes with a chocolate dip too, so it's double if not triple the dose. I literally felt the chocolate coming out of my nose and ears!!! I don't really believe in those places, I mean seriously no matter how much you love chocolate, you wouldn't feel like going there more than once a month if not less..

Though I really wonder how long will it take me to change my mind, and think oh God I want that chocolate brownie and white chocolate dip RIGHT NOW!

Bats or Flying Foxes

The whole time I was thinking those are Bats, it turned out they're called Flying Foxes.

'Bats of the genus Pteropus, belonging to the Megachiroptera sub-order, are the largest bats in the world. They are commonly known as the Fruit Bats or Flying Foxes among other numerous colloquial names. They live in the tropics and subtropics of Asia (including the Indian subcontinent), Australia, Oceania, islands off East Africa (but not the mainland Africa), and a number of remote oceanic islands in both the Indian and Pacific Oceans.
The oldest ancestors of the genus Pteropus to be unearthed appear in the fossil record almost exactly as they are today, the only notable differences being early flight adaptations such as a tail for stabilizing. The oldest megachiropteran is dated at around 35 million years ago, but the preceding gap in the fossil record makes their true lineage unknown.
Characteristically, all species of flying foxes only feed on nectar, blossom, pollen, and fruit, which explains their limited tropical distribution. They do not possess echolocation, a feature which helps the other sub-order of bats, the Microbats, locate and catch prey such as insects in mid-air. Instead, smell and eyesight are very well-developed in flying foxes. Feeding ranges can reach up to 40 miles. When it locates food, the flying fox "crashes" into foliage and grabs for it. It may also attempt to catch hold of a branch with its hind feet, then swing upside down — once attached and hanging, the fox draws food to its mouth with one of its hind feet or with the clawed thumbs at the top of its wings.

wikipedia At sunset you can see them covering the sky moving from one area to another.. Whether Bats or Flying Foxes, I HATE THEM BOTH.
